Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use SupplierVault, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or magnification.

This statement covers the SupplierVault website (suppliervault.co.uk), the help centre, the SupplierVault app and the supplier portal that your suppliers use.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means you should be able to:

  • use everything with a keyboard alone
  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
  • use the site with a screen reader, with labelled buttons, form fields and headings
  • use the site in light or dark mode, with text that has enough contrast
  • read content written in plain English

How accessible it is

We believe most of SupplierVault meets WCAG 2.2 AA, but some parts don't yet. These are the problems we know about:

  • Charts. Some charts on the Dashboard and in reports show information through shape and colour, and don't have a full text alternative. The same figures are in the tables beside them and in the "Download for Excel" files.
  • PDF and Word exports. Packs printed to PDF (such as audit, evidence and QBR packs) and documents downloaded from templates are not fully tagged for screen readers, so headings and tables may not be announced properly. The same information is on screen in the app, and in the CSV downloads.
  • Documents suppliers upload. Files that you or your suppliers upload are not checked by us and may not be accessible.

We haven't yet had an independent accessibility audit. This statement is based on our own checks.

Reporting a problem

If you find a problem we haven't listed, or you need something in a different format, email hello@suppliervault.co.uk. Tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you use, if any. We'll reply within 5 working days and tell you when we expect to fix it.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) enforces the Equality Act 2010, which requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). In Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.

SupplierVault isn't a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 don't apply to us. We've followed the same approach because many of our customers are public bodies, academy trusts and charities.

What we're doing to improve

  • Adding text summaries to every chart.
  • Making PDF and Word exports tagged and readable by screen readers.
  • Checking every new page and feature against WCAG 2.2 AA before release.
